What to do straight away

Report the loss to the urząd so the licence is entered in the register of lost documents. If it was stolen, report it to the police: a theft report blocks the document automatically.

Can you drive without the card

Your driving entitlement remains: since 5 December 2020 you don't have to carry your licence, the police check it in the CEPiK database. You still need to get a new document.

Applying for a duplicate

Apply within 30 days of the loss: application, photo, ID (for foreigners — residence card or visa) and the fee. Production usually takes up to 9 working days.
